The best coffee in the area! We aim to provide the best coffee and homemade cakes in the area and all for a good cause!

Café in the Park is a café for the community, run by people from the community - your community! We hope to provide a space for lots of different community groups such as:-

• Community Lunch is held on the first Wednesday of each month, with soup, quiche, jacket potato and ploughman’s on offer. Our friendly volunteers welcome everybody to join in!

• Health Walks start at the café on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 11am. There is no charge to join the walk as they are led by volunteers

• Pauline brings her creative skills to Café in The Park during Card & a Cuppa sessions running on Fridays

• Beggarwood Bookworms meet on the last Wednesday of the month, so if you like to read, then come along to this friendly and informal group

• Toddlers & pre-school children and their parents & carers

• Friendship Friday offers a space for retired people to meet and socialise and perhaps even play cards and board games. Every Friday we offer a delicious homemade soup with French stick and croutons and everyone is welcome to share!

• A breast-feeding friendly café

• Dementia-friendly café

• Catered off-site meeting Venue with amazing views.

• We offer FREE WIFI too!

We welcome ideas for events that bring the community together. There will be afternoons and mornings where certain community groups will benefit from reduced prices and special offers. 

We take our coffee very seriously. And it's not just about the coffee. We will serve a range of amazing teas, hot chocolate, milkshakes and other drinks too. Pop in for your morning coffee or afternoon cuppa or a delicious bacon or sausage bap at the weekend! Or come and escape the hustle and bustle of life and sit on the patio overlooking the park with a paper and flat White.

We aim to ensure that the drinks that we provide are ethically sourced and traded. That's really important to us as a community café. We will offer decaffeinated, freshly ground coffee and a wide range of teas for you to choose from and all at a reasonable price.

A wide range of homemade cakes will be available as well as toasted tea cakes, paninis, homemade soup and filled Jacket potatoes and other goodies! And all this within walking distance of most homes in Beggarwood and Hatch Warren.
